About Me
Hi! My name is Caroline and I am the creator of Carelebeads.
I make my own glass beads by melting rods of glass in the flame of a propane and oxygen fueled torch. I heat the rods of glass in the flame and then wind the molten glass around a steel welding rod, which creates the hole in the bead. I can move the glass when it is soft to create different shapes - round, square, oblong, heart, animal, or whatever I come up with . I add dots, lines, squiggles or any design I want. Several layers of glass can be added to a bead which will provide depth. I also have made some beads that were not made on a mandrel. They are a bit tricky but like all lampworking, once you get it, you get it.
I use my glass beads in all of my products - jewelry, office products, kitchen and housewares. I have a large variety of items. Please take a look around my website for all of the things I am making.
I am happy to do custom work as well. Send me an email if there is something you would like me to make.
